I just got off the phone with the director and writer of our new short “Jawless Dog”, Chris Canfield. I’m really excited for this project.
It started out as something that I just wanted to do one weekend for fun. So I called Chris to see if he had any ideas, and it turned it so much more.
He had a fantastic idea, he wrote a script, and now we have what’s going to be a really cool little project.
We are in the process of raising funds to feed and house crew and cover equipment and wardrobe costs. We plan to shoot the film over the course of 3 days.
I’m producing, but because it’s a small project I’m going to go ahead and take a stab at assistant directing as well. I love the AD role on a film set, but normally work as Production Coordinator, or Production Manager/Line producer.
I’m very excited to tackle the assistant director position. I’ll be honest, there is a little bit of nervousness, especially because I will be AD, but will also be Producing/Production Managing. Even though it’s not a huge project, it IS a lot to try to do, but I’m certain I can do both, and we’re all excited to make this movie.
I’ll post more as more comes.
